The new store

Well guys here is the beginning of my new store.

The concept of the store reads as follows:

Our pledge is to sell real cruising equipment to the prudent and practical sailor. Believe it or not our main goal is not to make money, but to sustain while providing a real and informative service to fellow cruisers. I’ve found it hard over the years to weed out all the crap sold by the various ship chandeliers and mega boating stores. If you find it here I really believe in the product and I’m not just selling it to make a buck. Cheap or faulty cruising equipment may be a nuisance to the coastal sailor who can call sea-tow when their engine or rig fail, but to the serious cruising sailor inferior equipment can be life threatening.

I really mean it, we are only going to carry good, solid equipment.

One of the products I’m really excited about is our line of Griffin fuel filters. Having a dual fuel filter doesn’t need to cost thousands of dollars any more. Our Griffin filter housings take racor elements and for $455.00 you can get into a dual filter setup. I’m putting the G500DM on Splendid. These filter housings are built to the highest standards and are used in boats all over Europe and in industrial applications like the Miami Airport backup generators. At $455.00 it really is an important safety addition to any cruising boat.

I’ll be populating the store over the next few months so please keep checking in. If you have any suggestions on something we should carry please let me know.

Cheers everybody.

Sail far and live slowly.

  1. Hi Alex,

It might be helpful to have a seperate forum to discuss the equipment, installation, spare parts, etc.

  2. Dave,

You or any member can start one in the fourms section.

Great stuff in the store. Maybe have it open up in a new window so it’s easy to get back to here too. I’m going to give you a call tomorrow about routes in the Bahamas. Leaving Green Turtle in the Abacos and heading to Fort Myers Beach. Dig out some charts and we’ll shoot the poop.

Congratulations on your new bed. Ahhh a good bed. Love is all there is…

    Talk soon..
