I finished the radar mount for the dome yesterday, I’ll get it put up next week. One of the guys here did the aluminum welds for me. There really are some great and helpful people here at Beach Marine.
I also finished putting a queen bed in the master state room, it’s awesome. It really makes the boat and Sam is tickled. She is doing lots of organizing and re-arranging.
I got bad news from Acer yesterday they are not covering the computer that I got water in on my last delivery, ARRRG I just bought it. They want as much as a new one costs to fix it, I decided not to fix it. I did order some silicone keyboard skins for my other laptop on eBay yesterday. If you have a laptop on your boat I think it is a really good idea. Check eBay for keyboard skins.
Sam, Guin, and I are going to the Ortega Yacht club for turkey day today. We have friends there and I hear there will be some kids for Guin to play with. It’s been really rainy the past few days but we have a nice blue sky today.
I’m on a mad throwing out and organizing binge. It’s hard to think of everything we’ll need for out trip but I know we have all the important stuff.
Anyway, gobble, gobble.
Sail far and live slowly.

have a wonderful day-miss you all—-happy thanksgiving–love you and miss you -enjoy
Happy Thanksgiving to the SPLENDID FAMILY!
I hope to be reading your blog this time next year, when you are anchored off some beautiful beach, happily living off the sea, the sun and warm breeze.
Cheers from the Philippines!
Rick
Check E-Bay and other online vendors for “Netbooks”. These are stripped down notebook computers, often with all solid-state internals (no moving parts!) You can pick them up for $200-400 depending on CPU speed and memory size. They’re intended for web surfing and word processing, allowing you to save your laptop for the big jobs like video editing.
With the right software they’d make a perfect chartplotter.
