Land and Sea

Jacksonville to Boot Key

Sam, Guin, and I are taking off this morning. It looks like fog, rain, thunder and lightning, OH MY! We’ll have a few days of crappy weather but it is what it is.

Michael (Guin’s Dad) is coming to pick Guin up for Halloween and the weekend. He’s having a big party at his house and Guin is really excited. We’ll meet him along the way.

Sam and I are going to take our time (50-60 miles a day) getting down there and enjoy the time and scenery. We are on the lookout for Roseate Spoonbills (birds). We saw some on the way up and thought they were only around the Sanibel area. We saw some wood storks (endangered) here at beach marine yesterday. I love nature!

Anyway we are getting a late start due to weather but I need to get going, we will anchor south of Saint Augustine (oldest city in the USA) tonight.

Peace, Love, and Coconuts.

  1. should be able to see a rocket in your southern sky this morning :)

  2. We just anchored north of the bridge of lions in St. Augustine. We had a really awesome day so far and will be off early. We played uno and charades in the cockpit all day. It’s a good day to be alive!
