Here is Splendid as she has sat at the dock for the last week.
We are planning on taking off in the morning, but of course there is a tropical wave that just popped up that I want to keep my eye on (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/).
I’m really bummed about my generator. I’ve never met a diesel that I haven’t been able to get going. Maybe there is a problem with the head or something? I’ll play with it a bit more when I’m up in the Chesapeake.
I’m going aloft 2day to put the new running lights up. I’ve also got to get the dinghy on deck and organize a bit.

I have the dryer on the back deck. it’s just under 150 degrees inside and is drying some papaya at the moment. I hope to dry a big fat tuna or mahi-mahi shortly.

Man I have missed reading your logs while we are out here unconnected for a few days at a time!! Our weather finally is warming up to the high 70’s now. Spending a few days in Grand Traverse Bay now. I feel like a mini Alex with my vacation on you tube :0 I plugged this site for you too, after I jury rigged a rain bimini :).

i missed the part where you said what was wrong with your diesel. Guessing it will not start. What color exhaust do you get when it turns over? I’m sure you checked the big three. I’ve lived off grid most of my life and might can help. They can sure drive you crazy. W

Well I reconize that dock as being none other than Ben Swann Sr. my dad. If you need a place to put in off the Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis I have slip on South River. You might not be able to get under the Riva Bridge however if your mast is over 20′.
