Heat!

Man it’s been hot!!!

I’ve decided to stay in the slip for one more month. I need to put in a bunch of hours on the new website and the power, AC, and internet will make it a lot easier.

I got a check disk of the new DVD yesterday and it’s good, “Print them BABY”!!!! What a bitch this has been!

I’ve been contemplating hiring a carpenter for a few days. Labor rates are really through the roof!!! How can we be in such a bad economic state and no one is willing to work for a fair wage?  Oh well, I’d rather learn to do everything myself anyway. I’m not so good working with wood but I guess it’s time to change all that!

I’m pretty upset with Raymarine at the moment. When I found my Autohelm 6000 on eBay I called them before bidding (twice) to find out if they could repair it if it was DOA. My answer both times was “yes”. When I sent it in for repairs the statement was “This autopilot is over 15 years old, we don’t have the parts”. Well that was a waste of $800.00! I’ll be ordering a new autopilot next week!!! I’m looking at an S3 corepack, 6002 control head, and using the T2 linear drive that I have. The autopilot is the most essential piece of electronics onboard and I want it right! That being said I hope to live off of my Aries windvane and use the autopilot in motoring and non-windy conditions.

Peace, Love and Sailing!!
