Sleep!!!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE I?M IN!

It’s amazing how far a little sleep goes, I feel like a million bucks with a sunburn today.

Tahiti had a strange gravity for me, I feel like I have escaped. Remember Mel Gibson screaming ?FREEDOM? in Braveheart that was me yesterday on the bow of Namaste sailing out of Cooks bay in Moorea.

When I got up the first thing my waking eyes focused on was Bora Bora, what a distinct mountain range. I can?t tell you how many times I looked at that skyline in a picture or post card and wished to see it for myself one day. Most of the cruisers aren?t wild about Bora Bora because it is so touristy but I may go tomorrow for a day. I really would like to have a drink at ?Bloody Mary?s?.

I will post pictures and video when I can but I really wish I could share it with someone today. I would be really cool to do a charter or two in this area. That?s why the bigger boat. I?m focused on one in particular and I?m hoping it doesn?t sell until I have some money in hand, it really is perfect. I?m happy Creola didn?t work out. I would have made it happen but what a big job. The boat that I?m looking at now is structurally excellent and just needs cosmetic work, painting, sanding, varnish, counters, some wiring and head liners. It?s on the west coast and I?d be back out here quickly.

After my log today I?m going to cook a big breakfast and get my running lights working again. I have to pull apart some wiring but I need to get to the bottom of it. When I was in Tahiti I found out what happened to my SSB. The thick positive cable from my alternator was rubbing against my flywheel and chafed through the shielding. My ground went to hell and I burnt out my radio, SSB?s are all about the ground.

Peace, Love, and Freedom!
