Land and Sea

Outch!!!!

I really burned my belly and hand (hot oil) cooking pancakes this morning. I swear the most dangerous thing I’ve encountered about cruising is the stove, now I know what aprons are for.

My engine part (fuel line) is on the way it should take a week or two. The bummer is I can’t work on the DVD without the motor to charge the batteries, ARRRGGGGG!

I may help out a friend building a house this next week, I don’t want to sit around and twiddle my thumbs. I’ve got the radar mount back together and working, YEEEEEHAAAAAAA! I’m also trying to get my SSB fixed; I don’t know what’s going on with it. I don’t want to bring it into the shop here, I’m sure they will charge an arm and a leg. I need to double check my ground and antenna systems, it’s receiving and transmitting, but not auto tuning. I also want to do a little work on my autopilot mount. There is not much more to do before taking off. If I head to Kirabiti I’m not in such a rush anymore. It’s only 1000 miles (10 days) to the NNW and I’m out of the Cyclone area when I get there. I’d also be half way to Hawaii, that’s always an option as well. It’s funny, 10 days at sea just doesn’t seem like a big deal anymore.

I just got an email from a broker in Brisbane (Australia) that is interested and confident about selling Namaste. I’m still trying to work out the details of getting into the 50’R, but I’m hoping to know a lot more in the next few days. If I can’t swing it I’m sailing off the beaten path to where very few venture. If my offer is accepted I’ll be running for Brisbane with my hair on fire.

Anyway I just wanted to check in and post a new video.
