Someone sent me a great quote from “Jaws”. To steal a line form Sheriff Brody, “You’re gonna need a bigger boat”!

Well, the negative comments have seemed to stop and I’m getting some amazing feedback. I think it’s hard not to see the beauty in this. So many people are offering to come to Florida to help me put the boat together if I get her.

I’m hearing from many health care professionals with words of support, and the good karma is flowing. The owners of Creola have agreed to take her off the market to give me time to get to New Zealand or Australia to sell Namaste. This really seems like its coming together. Perhaps it will fly?

I’ve been second guessing myself “even if I get the boat can I pull it off and restore her”? I had a hard time sleeping again last night as these questions rolled through my dreams and thoughts. I dug out some of the old, online episodes, when Project BlueSphere was more of an online TV show and watched for a few hours. I’d like to share the first few episodes with you; it’s a nostalgic kind of thing for me.

After watching these I realized something about myself, I’ll do what ever it takes and end up on top, I always do.

I’m going to sail for New Zealand or Austriallia in a week or two. I’m really surprised I can’t find a buyer for Namaste here. Tahiti is probably the best place to start a trip or spend years cruising. Maybe these videos will inspire someone to step up to the plate and start fulfilling their own dreams.

A few people have suggested doing this through a church or organization. And I just want to say I don’t want any religious affiliations attached to my project, not to say that they are bad in any way, I just think it’s the duty of all men to take responsibility for helping others regardless of their faith. Everyone needs to live by this code!

That being said I got a great email from my old college buddy Dave:

“Quite a fantastic dream! I love it!!! I think you’re getting good advice from the positive people, and agree on all you’ve posted.

I wanted to tell you about a buddy of mine who had a wild hair and sold everything and bought a one-way ticket to Haiti. He wandered around for a while, not knowing why he was called there, until he happened upon the village of Verrettes. They had cut down all their trees and their mountain-side fields were eroding into the river and out to sea. He asked someone why they don’t build terraces with the rocks to catch the soil. They had no idea what terracing was, and Tom had found his purpose.

Today, only 8 years later, he has a thriving ministry that has dramatically improved the lives of 800 families. They teach literacy, sustainable farming practices, give out micro-loans of about $20 (with 100% repayment history), build tree nurseries and sell the trees affordably to re-forest the island, and install water filters that provide clean water to entire villages that used to have no clean source of drinking water.

All because one guy woke up one day and said “I don’t know why, but I think I need to change my path.”

Tom is doing what he does to show the love of God in a low-key and practical way (a soft-sell if you will), and I know that you aren’t big into organized religion, but I think the motivation is the same.

Stick with this dream! It will take on a life of its own. Be sure to let me know where and when you are in Florida and I’ll come down and help install decking.

I’m just about to start reading a book about a couple of guys who sailed to Antarctica on a 27 foot boat. I think it’s called “Berserk.””

Does anyone out there speak Hindi (Indian), I have a few words I want translated? Also if anyone is an “ebay guru” let me know, I have a few ideas.

I spent the day yesterday working on more video clips of the crossing, I will be posting them shortly, they were a big hit. I’ve also been working on my DVD, the ending is still up in the air but perhaps I’ll find it shortly. It really is good and I think it will be worth the wait.
