Land and Sea

Excited 2 go!

Well I’ve contacted brokers in Australia and New Zealand and I don’t think there is much more I can do at this point. I’ve been reading about the Cooks and Tonga and I’m excited to get to sea again. I’m giving this thing my best shot, but if I can’t swing it, I can’t swing it. I’ve really been loosing sleep over it and it’s time to start having fun again.

You know, when it’s time to go, it’s just time to go. I’ve been battling with this radar mount for days; I just can’t seem to get it working right. I want to deal with this before I go, I sleep much better at night knowing I have the perimeter alarm set while underway. I really want to re-mount the dome on a fixed mount on the mast at some point. I also need to fuel up, provision, and clean the bottom before I split.

I may go over to Moorea for a few days before heading to Raratonga in the Cooks, hopefully Aki will still be there. I scored 150’ of 3/8 chain for him for free. Someone made an announcement on the VHF they were giving away some chain and I snapped it up. I have plenty but Aki only has 100’ or so. The chain is in “like new” shape but a little of the galvanizing has rubbed off. It’s quite heavy and in my cockpit. If I can’t find Aki I’ll give it to someone else who needs it.

I’ve uploaded some more of the crossing videos, I’ll post one with each log for the next few logs, and here is the latest.

Cheers everyone.

Peace, Love, and Sailing!
