I’m really at a transitional point in my trip. I wanted to meditate on my thoughts for the day. Yesterday I hitch-hiked around the island to visit Chowpu (spelling) it’s a famous surfing beach with an awesome reef break. I spent hours sprawled out on the black sand thinking about my future journey and where I want Project BlueSphere to go. I almost had a really bed thing happen. When I went out into the water I stepped on the tail of a stone fish. I didn’t get stung and it just scurried away, that was close!
Someone emailed me today and said:
“I’m not sure where you are headed now as there hasn’t been a ships log for a day or two, but here’s what I think about your boat plans. (I’m also planning a boat if you remember my first email). I’m reading “Sailing around the world alone” by Capt Joshua Slocum and he sailed many craft during his years. Your boat as special as it is to you is only the vehicle that carries you on your path. Your path still needs to be travelled by you so as to grow, but the method of transport on your voyage of life may change. So hit a new boat and grow!”
I also got an email from a nurse suggesting that I bring doctors as “Cheep Charters” and let them help people along the way, brilliant!
I have this nagging, compulsive, obsessive thing going on. My body and sole is really pulling me toward this new boat concept. I’m stressed, I can’t sleep, and the tranquil nature of my days seems to be long gone. If you asked me 3 weeks ago If I would be planning to delay my trip, go back to the states to get into a 50’ boat, I’d say “Your on crack bro”!
My friend once told me “A good exercise is to write your own obituary”. If you were to die tomorrow, what would you be remembered for? I’d like to be remembered as a visionary who went out of his way to help people on his path. I’m not motivated by money and I like to rely on the kindness of others, as well as showing kindness to the people in my life.
The price on the new boat is getting close to what I can get for Namaste. If it gets cheaper I will sell Namaste for whatever it takes me to make a horizontal trade. I will also keep Namastes path on the website and offer a log to the new owner. If I could I’d give Namaste to the right person and try to make someone’s dream come true I would.
Someone said they thought it strange that I would be interested in charity and it dawned on me, I don’t like the word “Charity” it separates us, I like to think of it more as humanity. We all should be helping people every day. If anything my “charity concept” is a selfish one. I’ve helped/inspired many people through Project BlueSphere and it is really a wonderful feeling, “I want more”!
I may put Namaste in the marina this week and try to get to
Peace, Love, and Lost!
