Land and Sea

Hitching

My friend Oriana (from Osprey) came by yesterday and suggested that we hitch-hike to the other side of the island to see the botanical gardens “You need a break Alex”!

Oriana is ending her travels after a year and flying to LA today for a few weeks then returning to Bolivia and eventually back to Austria for University. We are both photographers and decided to focus on taking a picture of each other that is relevant to our lives at the moment, she ending her travels, me at a cross road. This is what we came up with. It’s funny; Tahiti is a big turning point for many cruisers. The marinas are becoming full with boats that are going to spend the season here, it’s not just me.

I’m still pretty lost and don’t know what to do. I did work on my motor the other day and fixed the sea water leak. I’m dragging my feet a bit but will fuel up and fix the radar shortly. Soon I’ll be ready for sea and will need to make a decision.

I’m sorry for being so “on the fence” at the moment, it’s just life I guess.

David and I are working on a new photo gallery for projectbluesphere. It is not really in place yet but if you want to see some more Tahiti pictures, goto http://projectbluesphere.smugmug.com/ .

Cheers from Tahiti.
