What a magnificent anchorage!

If you have access to Google earth you should check out this anchorage. I have 100% protection from the sea. The mountains climb thousands of feet in every direction. I’m sure one could weather a cyclone here.

I could even work here, I’m thinking of spending a week and seeing if my creative energy will fly. If it does I could get work done here and sail for the Tuamotos with a clear conscience.

Aki took video of Namaste under way on or 5 mile passage from the other anchorage. The wind was blowing 20, squalls hit us as soon as we broke the anchorage, and the seas were rowdy. The entrance to Daniels bay is totally hidden. You have to venture into an area between rocks and reef that you wouldn’t want to go, especially in conditions like today. Once you get close to the beach you make a dog leg to starboard and this beautiful protected cove is revealed.

I brought my sail over to Oriana’s boat but she was unable to finish the job do to broken needles, oh well.

Cheers everyone, have a great weekend.
