Nuka Hiva anchorage

I took this picture just after I got up; I thought the light on the mountain was beautiful.

It rained all day yesterday and I never went off to photograph Rose, I’ll go today. I’m also going to buy some food for the crossing. I’ll kick over the refrigeration as I leave in hopes of catching some fish. Aki traded a lure with me “better for tuna” he said, I traded him a nice repala “good for wahoo”. Fresh sashimi for the trip would be awesome.

I’ve been studying the charts of Tahiti looking for a calm and secluded anchorage where I can hide and work. I think the South-West side of Tahiti is my best bet. I want to disappear from my friends for a while so I can work. This is not the easiest lifestyle to be able to focus on work, “Lets go snorkeling, come over for dinner, drinks” usually gets the best of me. If I had a dumpy apartment in an ugly city it would be best. I’ve also been craving some “alone time” I’ve been pretty busy since arriving in the Marquesas, I need to go on “walkabout”.

I will be sooooo happy when the next DVD is out. Shooting is the easy part, locking myself in a room in front of a computer for months is the harder part.

Cheers everyone.
