I’m really torn about stopping in the Tuamotoes. It’s supposed to be like the San Blas. White sandy beaches full of coconut palms, friendly people, barrier reefs, and lots of fish. I really need to focus on my DVD though. I only have 2 more months in French Polynesia before I have to leave for…, wherever. Finishing the DVD will take me at least a month of full time work. I have a lot of it cut but the editing process is a lot of work. I’m thinking of passing the Tuamotos directly for Tahiti and visiting Moorea and Bora Bora on my way out. I’d work here but the anchorage is too rollie. In Tahiti I’ll be behind a reef. If I was in the Tuamotos for work, I fear I’d be distracted by spear fishing all day. Nobody knows my pain!

When I was on Hiva Oa I visited Paul Gauguin’s grave with Hugh, I thought you would want to see it. The other picture is of my friends Hiro, Jamena, and Aki.

An old sailing buddy of mine (Steve) from California hooked me up with some of his friends in Tahiti. I already have “good people” to meet which is always a really nice thing. Steve may also come out to visit me for my birthday. I already have the best birthday gift of all, my birthday in Tahiti, how cool is that?

Today I’m going to find Rose and her restaurant. I hear she makes a mean cheeseburger. I’m also planning on fixing my running lights and checking out the fuel situation. If I go straight for Tahiti I’m looking at a 7-10 day passage. I’ll need to prepare Namaste and my food situation. I don’t have radar which bums me out, sleeping will be difficult. I’ll fix it in Tahiti.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.

Cheers from Paradise.

Peace, Love, and Work, work, work!
