Land and Sea

Waterfall

Machico and I went hiking in search of an archeological site yesterday. We never found it but we hiked through the jungle for a few hours. We picked limes, mangos, bananas, and nonie. Nonie is a really horrible tasting fruit that is supposed to be very healthy, it really smells rancid.

We saw a really beautiful water fall, it must have been over 1000 feet high but we could not get close enough to go for swim.

After getting back to the main road we walked to the village of Taaoa. There is nothing more then a church, school, a few houses, and a beautiful beach. We got some good photos.

I‘m going to give Machi a CD of pictures to email to my buddy David when she gets back to Tokyo. I should have pictures posted in a few weeks.

Machi has never been snorkeling so that’s the agenda for the day.

We my try and rent a car tomorrow to explore the island. I want to get some more video as I’m planning on getting the next DVD finished shortly.

Peace from paradise.
