I’m planning on taking my time in the morning and making a nice big breakfast. After that I’ll be taking a passage between Isla Saboga and isla Mogo Mogo. I’ve never gone that route but according to the charts it looks fine. It will save me about 6 miles getting out of here and with 4000 on the horizon every mile counts.
I spent last night sleeping in the cockpit; I’ll do the same tonight. I’m a picky sleeper and I need to be use to a place otherwise no sleep. It’s hard enough trying to sleep underway. When I do sleep underway I will set a 10 mile perimeter alarm until I’m well out to sea and out of the shipping lanes. The radar draws a fair amount of electricity and I usually don’t like to use it.
The wind is still up but it’s going in the right direction. I might as well take advantage of it while I have it. Wind will become more of a scarce commodity the closer I get to the equator.
Someone informed me that my first waypoint in yesterdays log is incorrect, it is N 07 30.000 W 079 30.000.
Cheers everyone.
Here we go!
Peace, Love, and the Marquesas!
Alex
