Our first week at the bamboo house has been work, work, work.
I think its funny when people say a boat is a “money pit” or a “hole in the water you keep pouring money into”. A house, car, business is so much more complicated & expensive.
Carla and I had to invest about $500 into liquor & food. I also bought a charcoal grill for $100 but we got the restaurant & bar functioning by the weekend. We had a full house (3 rooms/6 people over the weekend) and we did okay. After expenses we only make $80-$100 a night on food & liquor, but with the rooms we made a total of about $400-$500 over the weekend. We aren’t going to get rich but we may pull off the haul-out and making the last push on Splendid’s restoration by November. The only big problem I’m finding is time for Splendid & boat work.
Sorry I haven’t had a blog up but between Carla and I we don’t have a laptop and I cant blog from the house. I’ve been looking around at deals and found a lenovo G500 for only $268.00 but It’s for in store pickup only, bummer, I want 2 of them.

When I was back in the world I used to be a FRYS junkie it’s like Costco for techie stuff!
I’ll get some pictures up of the bar soon, I hope I don’t drink all the profits 
with the rum & cokes flowing!!!
Anyway, I’m off to work. I have two alternators that need to be rebuilt, one in the car, and one in the boat, ARRRRRGGGGGG!!!!
