I threw a party for Carla and my birthdays last night. Carla is on July 11th, and I’m on the 14th.
I invited 7 of our friends. Believe it or not, two of them had birthdays this week as well, so it turned out to be a quadruple birthday party, man do I have a hang-over 
I made BBQ chicken, salad, and baked potatoes for our friends along with having an open bar, fun! Needless to say there were a few hang-overs today.
There has been some bad boat energy lately. about 3 weeks ago I saved a boat that broke free of a mooring (why don’t people just 
anchor properly?), and last weekend a friend an I saved a boat within 1/2 hour of its sinking. Her nose was in the water and there was no time to try and pump her out so we pushed it onto the beach with my dinghy and had a tractor pull it up onto the mud as she wanted to slide back to the abyss from all the water weight.
I’m a bit tired of saving peoples boats and never even getting a 
“thank you” from the owners. I noticed Namaste (not my old boat) sitting a bit low in the water last night and informed the guys at the bar. They said the owner left about 5
months ago and didn’t have anyone look after his boat, and this morning she sits on the bottom in 40’ of water. WTF is the matter with people? It really amazes me how careless some people are with their boats, it really breaks my heart every time a boat is lost, such is life.
Spending so much time ashore has been interesting to say the least. I’ve gone from our simple life of living aboard Splendid to having a sailboat, house, car, two cats, a dog, and a staff, too damn funny!
The howler monkey’s are a bit annoying as they like to pick a mango, take one bite, and throw it at you or your car, they make a hell of a mess but are fun to have around.
Lots of weird bugs too, this guy was amazing and seemed to like to be pet, check out the video on my YouTube channel (upper right-hand side of this page).
We are booking the Bambu house easily and think we will do pretty well. We offer some cool local tours like jungle hikes, day snorkeling trips, canopy tours, not to mention good food & company.
Well, that’s it for today, I need to go back to nursing my hang-over and getting ready for my day-charter on Monday. 
I finally got sterling Hayden’s book “wanderer” in my hands, a present from Carla and I’m looking forward to reading it from a hammock if I can ever find the time.
