My darling Samantha will become a ripe old woman of 34 tomorrow (9/1). The funny part is she still gets carded for beer & wine. Sam has never been on a jet ski, and she has an hour run tomorrow. A nice lady gave us a free hour at the party we attended last Saturday. She won it in an auction and had no desire to use it. Guin and I will follow, or try to in the dinghy. We are going to take the day off and do fun things for her birthday. We’ll have some time at the beach and perhaps a picnic.
My Uncle is getting some free legal aid and He says things are looking up. On the down side he’ll have about 6 weeks to vacate, the up side is maybe we could put it off long enough to try and sell the house and get a few bucks in his pocket.
I’m still hunting for a down wind sail. I found a great deal on craig’s list and I’m hoping to make enough to get it in the next few weeks ($750.00)
I spent a few hours putting our bikes together and repairing them today. We took a nice ride to the supermarket.

Here’s a thought from someone that knows very little about anything….Could you find a benefactor to secure financing( just back taxes right?) to keep the house,,,using the boat as collateral,,,all the while with the understanding you’ll repay with future boat work? Assuming the house means enough to you… Maybe as a rental income property in the future??

I know the weather here has beens a constant worry but not too long from now until the beauty of the fall on the eastern seaboard. All of this while keeping Guin close for her dad. God Bless you for that.
Where will you winter? dare to try the great lakes or will you scoot south? Like I said earlier, i know nothing,, but snow on a boat seems a little too much. too claustraphobic maybe,,, tho when I dream it’s of a small pilothouse so I could venture farther north at times.
Please don’t take this the wrong way & no disrespect to Splendid but I loved the look of Namaste. I understand the size thing,,just talking about her appearance….I wish I had been ready to make my purchase when you sold her.

Did you checkout that masthead place in st.pete’s that i linked you to? seemed like they had lots of stuff for less, but then again, i don’t have your rigging dimensions either. just a though.
Also, She will smoke you guys in the dinghy, but you could always grab a couple extra cool-points by dressing up in fine dining wear from a thrift store and yelling indiscernible “bad guy” phrases like “i’ll get you inspector gadget!”
