Well, I have some news. At 1:57 pm on July 8th, 2009, The good ship Splendid has set sail for a life on the sea. I’m a bit speechless. Sam and Guin are reading books as we chug down the Caloosahatchee river. Check the spot if you have a moment. I’m going to look for an anchorage down by the beach tonight, perhaps Picnic Island. Sam and I have to do some stowing and cleaning up before we leave in the morning for the Keys.
It’s a bit hard for me to put my feelings into words at the moment. Sam and I have worked so hard for this.

One day I’ll be able to say that. Alex you take car of your new wonderful family. God has blissed you in so many way, but now he’s let you teaste the icing on the cake. No more lonely day or nights. Alex Dorsey – it has been a long voyage since we were hanging out in Panama together. You have had a lot of ups and downs but I was sure all along that your sense of what makes you happy would take you in the right direction. And now to see that you are not only happy in your boat but happily sharing your life with Sam and Guin – very nice.
One of these days I will take you up on that rain check for time on your boat – maybe next year. Stay well and enjoy – especially your family.
