Can you believe I’m in a tie? First time in 7 years.
I was a guest speaker at the commodore’s breakfast at the Royal Palm Yacht Club believe it or not. It went pretty well and I actually got some laughs out of the crowd. Sam and I went to Good will yesterday and I got a nice Polo Jacket, Donna Karen tie, and some Banana Republic slacks all for under ten bucks. Good will is the bomb digitty, I can’t believe more people don’t shop there. I also found a cool teak tide clock for three bucks.
Darren and I are really busting our ass on the bow, check out the new video. I’m hoping to have the entire bow done and painted by next weekend.
Cheers everyone.
Peace, Love, and Coconuts.

Hi Alex, I found the Blue Sphere site some time December of 2008 and I have now read all of your written logs and it has been a great virtual sailing trip for me, the video seems to change every time I get it but don’t worry I will have DVD 1 as soon as Paypal get some money from my bank (about a week from now). Two comments: The first I live in southern Ontario and we have had snow from mid November and I just can’t get enough of the photo’s , The second on your confirmation of my order you show a Password in plain language instead of dots, I prefer the dots. By the way my boat is a Aberg 29 almost the same as you had on your trip on Namaste.
Regards Stan
Well now Alex… Nice jacket. Nice tie… Did you have to look for long pants too. Very cool. In any case, it will be good to have you in Fort Myers Beach. I’m looking forward to seeing you out and about. Weather is great. Water is good and lots of fish. Good places to gunkhole and lots of sand to get stuck in. Stay in touch. See you soon. See you on the Dock… Capt. Paul
you scared me….. I thought you got a job…. whew…..
Man can the dude above stop swearing:)
Free coffee is a mind killer.
You looked like a Fed’ or something with those aviators.
Alex your getting soft, I only wear a tie when someone gets married or dies for the first hour, LOL LOL. Glad things are going well. Hope to see ya soon.

“No Hurry”
Uh oh, I can see it now. “Boat for sale. Girlfriend says it’s gotta go.”
Alex, I have a tie too. But mine is hanging from the neck of my Jollie Roger!! LOL When the time is better/slower for you I’ll send the pictures of the car I restored. I figure when you out at sea and bored.Like being out to sea is boring. There are a lot of them.Oh ya, I get my boat this month sometime. More on this as it developes. Steve
Oh, Alex!!!!! What have you done? Ha! Ha! Ha! At least you don’t look natural in it!
On a serious note, I know you’re not a fan of trailer sailers but, I am going to have to go that route and was wondering if you had any advise about what boats are the best.
I am going to take my son to the Bahamas, when he graduates next year, and have to get a boat that can safely make the trip.
An alternative is to try and do a charter trip with you. Do you think you’ll be ready for chartering around May/June 2010? Destination is not critical, as long as it’s warm islands!

Speeddemon, Girlfriend would never say “boats gotta go” no worries about that mate. It will be cool to have a nice set of threads aboard. Especially for checking in, and out of countries.
Off 2 work on the bow.
Cheers.

Hey is that Kenny Johnson in the first part of your video? What’s he up to lately? Jake from Mystic.
That sure is Ken Johnson in the video. He came for a visit. For thouse of you who dont know I bought Namaste from him. he is a delivery captain, and surveyor. If you need a survey, this is the only guy I’d trust. You can check out his site at http://www.johnsonmarineservices.com/
Cheers.

Hey Alex. Tie and jacket look great. Imagine if we’d have dressed like that for the club scene in Cartagena !!! – Bruce
Gday Alex cool but it just aint natural !
I have a 1993 27″ McGreggor Great boat ,shallow draft. My sail club goes to the islands from Melbourne Fl every year in some older McGreggors
b. hinton. you cold also look for a pacific seacraft flicka, and you can tailor it, I believe it would be safe enough to go to the Bahamas or anywhere for that matter. I think there is one for sale here in the marina.
I’ll surly be chartering in 2010, and should be chartering in the San Blas after July of 2009.
Cheers
Alex
