Santa!

Funny thing happened this year. Santa visited “Splendid”!

Christmas morning on Splendid was fun. Guin found a tree and a ton of gifts in the cockpit. After our morning we went to Samantha’s parent’s house for festivities. Guin got buried in Toys. Good thing a lot of them stay with the grandparents, especially the electronic and noisy ones. Why do they make them, everyone seems to hate them. The funny thing about Guin, is she is totally content playing with a cloth doll. Sam and I aren’t to into excessive plastics, luckily Guin isn’t either.

I spent today chipping and sanding. After a while I decided I needed a bigger chisel and went off to home depot. I also picked up a belt sander with 36 grit paper and it is working wonders on the deck. I know, I know, no belt sanders on sailboats. But I’m using it before cabesil is going down, and under an area that will be covered in non-skid.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I can’t believe it will be 2009 soon.

Cheers.

Peace, Love, and belt sanders!!!
