The aft cabin is almost done. I’d been wanting to refinish the mater state room but it is a dusty affair. Sam and Guin went to visit family in New Jersey, and this last week has been a mad sanding & painting fest. It looks really good though. I took of all the teak trim. Sanded and scraped all the old paint off, patched all the holes, reinforced the chain plates, and painted. IT LOOKS AWSOME!! I’m going to go out and focus on the exterior again. Hurricane season is over for all intensive purposes and I want to pull splendid together. I still need to install an inverter, mount my GPS & fish finder (depth gauge), clean up the engine room, and finish my paint & repairs on the deck. I’m putting down an aggressive non-skid, and netting the life lines. Oh yeah, I need to get the SSB installed as well.
I’m going back on the hook on Sunday. I’m really looking forward to not being connected to the dock anymore. It’s convenient having power and water, but its just not the way I like to live.
Cheers.
