Soggy Dollar Bar

Buddy and I sailed from Tortola to Jost Van Dyke yesterday. Joss (42’ Swan) is truly a lovely boat to sail. She is nimble, fast, and responsive. I used to be on a Swan race team many years ago and forgot how much I love these boats. Check my spot page by clicking the link above. Once it opens click on satellite to get an idea of what the anchorage here looks like.

The Soggy Dollar and Foxy’s are probably the 2 most famous beach bars in the BVI’s. Well Buddy and I didn’t make it to Foxy’s but we did manage to consume a bunch of Pain Killers at the Soggy Dollar last night.

I was going to leave tomorrow but I may push the trip one day. I need to check out the autopilot, it’s not working. I’m going to pull it all apart and check all the connections for corrosion. I also have to hook up the SSB antenna today and check in with Herb tonight (2000 UTC on 12359.0). I’ll be checking in with him every day for the duration of the trip for weather and routing. I’m thinking my passage should take 10 or 11 days.

Peace, Love and Coconuts.

Sail far and live slowly.
