Project BlueSphere

Land and Sea

The rabbit hole.

Splendid is becoming more and more of a disaster as I get deeper into the rabbit hole. That being said I feel pretty good about it, got to keep a good attitude right? For some reason I got more fiberglass on me yesterday then usual and my skin was really burning, so uncomfortable. Did you ever buy a little bag of itching powder from the joke shop? Itching powder is fiberglass, not funny! I’ve been building up material and grinding it down to the base I want. I’m hoping to have the base finished tomorrow and start glassing in the plate. The aft cabin has a solid layer of white dust on it, ARRRGGGG!

I brought the mounting tubes for the aries in to be bent. We put the first tube in the bender and started bending it, it SNAPPED! That’s how fast a simple project become a big one. Do you think anyone in town has that type of tube with the proper wall thickness, of course not? It’s never that easy.

The more I think about spray painting, the more I like the idea of rolling and tipping. I don’t really want, or need a “Yacht finish”, so I think I’m going to bail on the whole paint sprayer idea.

The last time I worked this hard every day was back in Mystic Connecticut putting Namaste together. I cant wait to shoot my first fish.

Peace, Love, and Coconuts.
