I HATE OUTBOARD MOTORS!!!!

I have 3 outboards and can’t get one working.

I have a Johnson 8 that came with the boat. The lower unit is seized, I’m saving it for boring day project. I have the Mercury 10 HP Sea Pro that I paid $350.00 for. I ordered a new carburetor from a shop and it showed up today and is the wrong part, ARRRGGGGG. I waited 2 weeks for it. I also have a small Nissan 2.5 that I need to go work on. What I really want to do is sell all this crap and buy a good rowing & sailing dinghy and be done with it!

The graph is a funny thing. It wasn’t the Planing/displacement line that really threw me off. It’s the fact that it doesn’t take the displacement of the boat into consideration. Anyway I’ve decided to mount it 14” from the rudder post.

I’m starting to pull my hair out with all these little projects. I’m hoping to get in front of the eight ball soon. Oh my God. I just thought of something. Maybe I have the “black spot”?
