Land and Sea

A sad leg!

The weather has been really nice and I’m starting to watch it again for my passage. There seems to be something crossing my path in a few days but I’m thinking I should just “Go for it”?

If you want a good way to see GRIB files you can download and see them for free by downloading UGRIB, I’m not sure of the location but I’m sure you can find it on the net. I like the ExpeditionLT (Free) GRIB viewer, but it’s a little harder to get free GRIBS for it, I get mine through mailasail.com.

Not only is this next passage a long one for me (1200 miles) but it’s a sad one. There is a very good chance this will be my last leg as owner of Namaste. I’m meeting Wojtek (pronounced Voytec) in New Caledonia to finalize the transaction and sailing to Brisbane together. Once in Australia I will take a few pictures and quickly fly to the location of the boat that I want to buy. If it is what I think it is I will purchase it on the spot.

There is most certainty a part of me that hopes Wojtec will not like Namaste (sorry Wojtek) and pass on the transaction. I’m having a little separation anxiety and hope I’ve made the right decision, I believe that I have. Even though change can be hard it can be really positive as well. Wojtek plans to refit Namaste and sail her to Poland. I will give him a page on the site so we can all follow him and Namaste’s path. Even though it’s hard for me to think of selling my baby, it’s good to know she won’t be sitting at a dock, bored, and growing barnacles. Sailing to Poland is Wojtek’s dream, and I couldn’t think of a finer little ship to assist in the realization of a dream then Namaste, it’s what she was made for!

Know this, even though my sailboat may change, projectbluesphere will continue, just on a larger scale.

Peace everyone.
