Sea Snakes

I went for a snorkel yesterday and found myself amongst half dozen sea snakes, most within arms length. You know what they say about Sea Snakes. “If you get bit, try to make it to shore and sit so you can have a moment to contemplate your life before it’s over”, they are highly venomous.

The good thing is they don’t seem to be aggressive at all, very docile, however a bit curious. I never felt threatened and enjoyed the experience.

I have to check if there is an underwater housing available yet for my Lumix DMC-LX2, I’d really love to be getting pictures of all this.

The water was some of the clearest I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen allot of clear water. It was like snorkeling in a fish tank full of highly filtered bottled water but with a blue tinge.

Today I’m planning on going for a stroll and taking some pictures. I’m going to check out and take off for Tonga tomorrow.

I really hope equipment failures and most of the weather is behind me.

Cheers everyone.
