Land and Sea

A long smile of satisfaction!

I can?t believe I woke up in Bora Bora this morning. I had to motor for 9 hours to get here yesterday but it was well worth it. I?m on a Bloody Mary?s mooring and visited the restraint for a few beers last night. I had a sashimi appetizer at the bar and returned to Namaste to gaze at the stars for a few hours before turning in.

You know they say that Bora Bora is the most beautiful island in the world. I couldn?t make the same claim only because I?ve see so many beautiful islands, but I must admit, she is quite spectacular!

The internet that usually works on the island is down along with the cell phones. I?m hoping they get it working again so I can upload some of the amazing pictures I took of Namaste at anchor.

Anyway, I?m going to download some weather products and start forming a game plan to sail for the Vavau group of islands in Tonga, it?s about a 1200 mile leg. I could possibly stop at the Palmerston atoll which is about 600 miles for a break, or Nuie which is about 900 miles, but I?ll try to do it in one shot. If I?m feeling really good and the weather is good I will blow past Vavau for New Caledonia. There are a bunch of Fijian islands on the other side of Tonga where I could stop as well. I?ve been reading up on New Cal, it really looks amazing and I hope to have a little time there.

Anyway, I’m off for a snorkle.

Cheers everyone.

Peace, Love, and sailing the Pacific!
