Land and Sea

work’n for beer

Alll may not be lost on the computer front. A few people have assured me the damage is probably to my application and operating system. I will have to reinstall windows in Tahiti.

I went to shore last night to do some shopping and met the French guy (franswa) on the boat next to me. We hung out for a while and he introduced me to his friend Laurent who manages a pearl farm here. The big ship from Tahiti was in and they had to load 100 or so 60lb bags of oyster shells into a container. I helped for an hour and was rewarded with beer, I had 4, and at $7.00 each that’s not so bad. Laurent mentioned that he wants to get a VHF radio for the farm. I told him about the one I have with the faulty squelch and he was interested. I told him I’m looking for pearls and he’s coming over this afternoon.

It was blowing 25+ most of the night, I’d like the wind to cool off but if it doesn’t I’ll leave in a few days.

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

Peace, Love, and Coconuts.
