Land and Sea

Rain, wind, and squalls squalls OH MY!

My 6 th sense is working well.

I think I can smell the squalls coming. I woke up just in time to douse the drifter and rig the boat for a squall. I fixed the drifter with some duct tape. I find that Namaste does best with 2 reefs in the main and a full jib. As soon as I was done rigging the boat and clearing things from the cockpit the rain came.

I’ve got about 100 miles to the Ahi atoll, still don’t know if I’ll stop.

I’m deep into my 1000 page book and have been reading over time, I think I need new glasses.

I get a lot of people who instant message me asking a question and apologizing for taking my time. Please, take my time, that’s what I’m here for. If I can help you get out on your boat and go cruising that is payment enough for me.

A very tired bird came to rest yesterday and spent the night, he really left a mess in the cockpit. I knew he would from where he perched himself (on my outboard), but I didn’t have the heart to push him off.

I’m really enjoying my time on the sea despite all the bird poop.

Peace everyone.

Alex
