Project BlueSphere

Land and Sea

A big scare!

I started working on my DVD bright and early yesterday morning. I had to unpack one of my external hard drives from a pelican case and set it up. I double-clicked on my project and waited for it to open; it usually takes a few minutes as it is quite large. My project wouldn’t open. I spent the next few hours in panic as I have over 150 hours invested in it.

What I really need is another 300GB drive so I can back it up. It this case however it was not a drive failure. I had renamed a photo backup folder and my project was trying to find pictures in it. I don’t remember what the old name was. It threw the whole project for a loop. It took a while but I was able to load the project without my music or sound EFX tracks. I lost 10– 15 hours work, but I cant complain, it could have been much worse.

Aki is sailing for the Tuamotos today. I’ll leave in a week or two depending on how much I accomplish. If I get some good work done I’ll reward myself with a week in the Tuamotos.

Cheers everyone.
