The sky lightened around 7;00 (Panama time) only to reveal more darkness.
At 10:00 last night I woke from a nightmare, I was on a sinking ship and someone was trying to kill me. When my eyes opened and I realized it was a dream my fear did not subside. Namaste was barely in control doing more then 7 knots, it was blowing a gale and I was being tossed around like a rag doll.
I got outside and doused the jib and she calmed a bit however the rolling motion increased. I’ve been up ever since. Its blowing 25-30, and I hope you can appreciate how difficult writing this log is; I’m surprised I can pull it off.
The sea is turning into a La Nina state rapidly. The sea is getting colder and the trades strengthening, timing is everything I guess.
I must say I’m not happy. Quint (my autopilot) is working triple time, I hope he holds.
Tomorrow I will reach my half way point from Panama, I have just over 2000 miles left to go, and I’ve only had one good trade wind day.
I hope this ends up being worth it. I am cold, tired, and feel like a whole new kind of shit today.
Peace, Love, and ???
Alex
