Land and Sea

Lots of work and sun!

Today was a filming/working on the boat day. I wanted to shoot a scene scrubbing the decks so I could talk about my Cascade and vinegar trick to clean teak. It works as well as the 2 part stuff you pay a lot of money for in the boat stores. Basically you scrub the Cascade (part 1) into the teak, and neutralize it with white vinegar (part 2). Anyway, I ended up scrubbing the whole boat for the next 4 hours, she’s clean though. I also shot a scene covering satellite email. Tomorrow I’ll be filming “searching for fresh water” and hiking up through a bit of the jungle here.

Okay, I have to admit it, I really miss Cass. I spent so many years alone on the boat with no problem, what happened? We can’t talk on the phone but are doing email and instant messages; it’s just not the same. I may start heading back to Panama in a few days, I know, I know, I’m a big wuss right?

The wind is blowing steadily from the north at 15 – 20 knots. My batteries love all this sun and wind, the wind generator is kicking up a storm.

Anyway that’s it for tonight.

Peace, Love, and Coconuts everyone.
