So Cass & I have really been busting our asses trying to get out of here. The last thing I had to do was change the oil. Well guess what, after the oil change I had no oil pressure. Some of you may remember I had this problem in Espirito Santo a few months ago. I flushed the system with diesel, and it seemed to fix it. However I found out what the real problem is. The gasket from my lift pump was leaking pressure. I went into the engine room and blew into the oil receptacle; I heard a leak but could not find it. Cass jumped in the engine room and helped out; she found it, the gasket for the lift pump! I had the lift pump off a few months ago as well. I took it off, replaced it with a new gasket, bled the fuel system, and it ran fantastic (Oil pressure) for about 5 minutes then died of fuel starvation. The lift pump isn’t pumping properly now. I’ll pull the lift pump apart tomorrow and take a look at it.
I’m frustrated, but I have to count my blessings, I’m pretty damn lucky!!!
Peace, Love, and diesels!
