Bot-Fly

I’ve been in work mode lately. I’m just about finished with two more episodes for the Latts and Atts show along with another article.

My hands don’t seem to want to heal very easily. My cuts are going white, and are becoming quite painful. I really, REALLY, don’t like taking antibiotics, but I started a round today. I want my body to be able to handle whatever I throw at it, but this is getting ridiculous.

I shot the biggest snapper I’ve ever shot today, but the dull tip of my spear gun didn’t penetrate his scales, oh well, the big one got away! After that I went to the beach to do laundry and bath in the stream and was attacked by a really nasty looking fly, got a good bite. I hope it wasn’t a bot-fly. Bot-flys are pretty nasty. They inject you with their larva which grows under your skin till it does the alien thing and bursts out, YUCK. I’ve had friends who have had them, not a pleasant experience.

I’m heading for Isla Ampon, or Contadora tomorrow, my buddy arrives on Saturday.
