Infection!

A few days before Buddy showed up (last Saturday), I cut up my hands pretty well. I cut a good chunk off the tip of my finger, as well as enduring two other good cuts. I did this while I was spear fishing. I shot a snapper and the spear didn’t go all the way through it. Worried that I would loose the fish, I grabbed the spear, and jammed the fish against a rock with full force. My hand slid down the spear, and the barbs that hold the rubber in place sliced through my flesh, OUTCH! The water around me was red with my blood, but I did keep my fish.

I don’t usually do much about cuts and scrapes; I just let nature take its course. Well the smallest cut got pretty infected, my whole hand started to itch. Yesterday I had to take a scalpel and lance, and drain the wound. I’m going to try and stay out of the water for a few days.

Buddy has been a great guest. I have many friends that charter and don’t nearly have the luck I do. All my charters have turned into friends and we have had a great time. I guess it’s because people kind of know me before they come for a week.

Anyway, we moved yesterday, and are anchored off of Isla Ampon. We had a fresh mackerel dinner on Plan B last night, and will most likely visit my friends on Contigo tonight.

Hope everyone is well.

Peace, Love, and Coconuts.
