I had asked Dan to write a log explaining his experience here on Namaste, he wrote the following. He did in fact help with the dishes though. ********** Regrettably I have left Alex and Namaste. I had a Fantastic week. It was good to get away, relax and just enjoy the peace and quiet that the ocean has to offer. Alex is a great host and a good cook. The daily activities consisted of fishing, swimming, cleaning fish, island exploring, and reading. Alex did all of the cooking and dish washing. That was nice! There was adventure as well. We experienced the indirect lightning strike, two tropical waves, one day of torrential rain that lasted for at least 4 hours, and another day of clouds and off again/on again rain as we motored to Panama . Although with all the rain Alex was able to top off his fresh water tank. Rain water really tastes great. Reminded me back of my childhood days when I use to play in the rain, and catch the raindrops in my mouth. I met some great people (other cruisers) during my week with Alex. Getting the chance to learn from them of their adventures is knowledge I will cherish. Everyone I met was friendly, kind, open and warm. Truly like a great big family. A wonderful experience! I hope to become part of the cruiser “Family”, although it will be about 4 years from now. I am starting to map out my timeline, and then plan on taking action. So for all you cruisers out there know, hope to see you in a few years. Just look for a “BLANK” boat. For anyone thinking about becoming a cruiser, you need to experience it! Thank You Alex for a wonderful week full of fun, adventure, and knowledge. I will always remember our time together. Peace, Love & Coconuts! Dan Blank ********** I was just looking at my schedule, and I’d like to fit one more in before I head to Ecuador in October. I have time the first week in September, the Last week of September, and the first 2 weeks of October. If anyone is interested let me know Hope everyone is well. Alex
