Land and Sea

Just a slow day!

All is well at the Balboa Yacht Club.

I’m doing a 5k walk in the morning sponsored by the UN for world hunger, seems like a good idea, and my hand is healing up well.

The batteries that I bought 4 months ago were bad. After charging them fully and checking them with a hydrometer they only showed a 70% charge. Marine Warehouse was totally cool about it and replaced all 4 T-105’s without question. I did try equalizing them with no luck.

I filled up the water tanks today (4 rowing trips to the fuel dock (65 Gallons)) and really wiped myself out by noon in the intense Panamanian heat. After that I rowed over and had a few cold ones with my friend Aki on Liberty, it was a pretty good day all in all. We ate a Pineapple, and went out for dinner.

It’s raining and my water catcher is filling up a few extra jugs that I had on deck. I know I’m getting old because I’m really looking forward to crawling into the v-birth with a cup of tea and a book. It’s a good night for that with the sound of the rain pelting on the decks.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

It looks like I’ll be off to the Pearlas on Monday, or Tuesday morning.

Cheers.

Peace, Love, and Coconuts.
