Today was a good day.
My Kuna friend Julio woke me up with fresh baked bread ($0.20), and I fried up some potatoes, onion, and green pepper for breakfast. The sun was out in full swing today and I wanted to take advantage of it since 4 tropical waves are stacked up and will visit me over the next few days bringing lots of rain, thunder, & lightening.
I went spear fishing after breakfast, and shot a nice school-master for lunch (sorry Bruce). Bruce left me a book (Jack Higgans “Drink with the Devil”), I made it to page 231 today, not a bad book.
I bought some nice food & wine for the charter and there is just a bit left over, I’m living large tonight. I made a nice tortellini with pesto, and my friends from “Hiatus” gave me some fresh bread from the bread maker. I cracked a nice bottle of Vino Tinto (red wine) from Argentina, and I’m watching the light show approaching Namaste. I’m sure it will be a wet night. I put a Sting CD on to score the evening and everything seems a bit surreal.
I wish I could convey the peace I’m feeling with words, perhaps it’s the wine but not really, tonight is golden.
I’ve gotten a bunch of emails lately and some of you think I’m getting a bit philosophical, maybe so, but isn’t that what we should do? Isn’t it our responsibility to figure this whole thing we call life out? It’s just nice to have time to think.
Anyway, I’m going for a night swim to cool off, and finish the evening by reading till my eyes are too heavy to keep open.
Peace, love & Coconuts.
