Project BlueSphere

Land and Sea

Work, Work, Work….

All work and no play makes Alex a dull boy.

The past few weeks have been a lot of work for me. I had to cut two BlueSphere segments (4 minutes each) for the Latitudes & Attitudes cable show, and cut a trailer (preview) of the DVD to stream from the website. I’m hoping it boosts sales as I really want to get through the canal within the next 4 months. I’m kind of out from under the 8-ball for the moment however I still need to deliver 4 more segments for the TV show and continue shooting and working on the next cruising DVD. I’m also going through 3 years of video tapes and making video clips to post on the website not to mention writing. Logs, and replying to emails (which is the highlight of my day).

How did my trip turn into so much work?

I suppose it could be worse ; )

Namaste’s first charter is coming up on the 15th, and I need to be back in the San Blas. I’ll let you all know how it goes. I’m going to give my first victim a video camera upon arrival and let him do a bit of shooting. I’ll post some of the video clips, and pictures, I’m really hoping I’m a good host, and he has a good time.

My outboard quit today, it was just one of those days. I had to go to Colone (The arm pit of the world) and get a FedEx out, 2 hours on a chicken bus each way.

On the way back I bought a bunch of real food for the charter and my back-Pac weighed about 80lbs. I did a bit of walking and my knees started to shake. I guess it was from lots of sweat, no water, and 95 degrees. All I wanted to do was get back to my beloved “Namaste”, and take a swim. Murphy kicked my ass today. My outboard quit and I had to row (with one paddle) a bit over a mile : (

I can’t tell you how happy I was to get back, take a dip, and dive back into my book (The Tipping Point).

Anyway I just had a really nice dinner, and I just want to thank all of you who bought the DVD. Project BlueSphere has been 3 years of work with no pay, and it looks like it might turn around a bit. My goal isn’t to get rich, just to be able to live the life, and share it with everyone who has ever dreamed of doing the same.

Don’t be strangers out there, please send lots of Instant messages and let me know who you all are.

Peace, Love & Coconuts.
