Land and Sea

Cartagena

I took down and bagged the Jib & Yankee this morning. My Jib needs some mending and a strip of sunbrella (UV resistant canvas) to protect it from the sun. I also scrubbed the decks, and generally cleaned up topside. I try to get my outside work done early before the heat sets in. After all that work I was craving a big breakfast. I had breakfast at Club Nautico this morning. To give you an idea of the prices here, check this out. I got a huge plate of fruit (Mango, Papaya, Watermelon) enough for a meal itself, a 2 egg omelet with cheese, mushroom, green peppers, a side of bacon, and a large glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice & coffee. All this for about 5,000 pesos (under $2.00). The ambience of looking over the old harbor is free and the service is excellent.

I spent a few hours in the internet café chatting with friends. If anyone wants to say hi my Yahoo ID is alexdorsey2003, and my MSN email is alex_dorsey@hotmail.com. I don’t receive email here though; please send all emails through the website or to alex@projectbluesphere.com. I do have a internet camera, headphones & mic for voice communication.

I took a walk and checked out old town, Wow, what a beautiful & old city.

I spent the majority of the evening working on the next episode, the stuff really looks good. I’m going to post it in the next few weeks.
