Got up (07:40), made pancakes, and espresso, still raining. When I was in the Florida keys a week ago I made a Bimini to keep the sun off me in the cockpit. This was the first rain since I installed it, and it’s holding about 5 gallons of fresh water, what luck, another way to catch water, I channel it into the water tank. I tried to get the weather forecast on the SSB receiver, no luck, I really need to learn how to read the barometer, and clouds. The patch on the dingy held (Thank God), A cargo ship came by and kicked me out of my anchorage, said I was in the channel. I couldn’t get the hook to bite anywhere else, it was blowing 20+ with a strong opposing current. The anchorage in Bimini harbor is small, and the holding ground worse then poor, so I pulled into the Bimini big Game Club and got a slip. Hopefully I find some good sleep tonight, and I’m looking forward to a freshwater shower, it’s been a few weeks.
