Recovery

Woke up about 05:30, made an egg sandwich, and my usual triple espresso. I feel very weak, and still very tired, I think to myself “I’m getting older”. At around 08:00, I try and patch the dingy, the glue has no instructions on drying time. I wait a few hours, and try to inflate the dingy, no good. I take off the patch, and glue on another, I will try inflating after 24Hrs.

I clean up the boat from the crossing, neaten all the lines, and start a new book (Chuck Palahniuk (Lullaby)). Thunder and lightening came around (17:00), I shut off all electronics, doused the wind generator and red by lamplight to 23:30 (almost finished). It’s very relaxing reading by lamplight in a thunder storm at anchor, it was a pleasant, and cooler experience. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this, but I have no refrigeration, cooler weather is always welcome.
