Palm Beach

Where was I…, Oh Yeah…, Charleston.

Namaste’s rebuilt motor is Fantastic. I always thought she was under-powered, but not any more. She has basically been running on one cylinder since I bought her. I can now make 60-75 miles a day on the ICW, as opposed to the 45-50 before the rebuild. Thank God I rebuilt it in Charleston, and not some small country where the process would have been more difficult. It cost me a month as it is.

I’m in Palm Beach, and have made over 1000 miles on the ICW. I tried going outside from Charleston but the weather was very bad. I spent 6 days in wet foul weather gear as it was, staying inside was the right call.

The water is 74 degrees, and the days have been in the 90’s up until today. There was a thunder storm that rolled through producing gusts over 45 miles an hour. It’s funny I enjoy them now.

I had dinner with one of the subscribers and her husband the other night. They just got a West Sail 32. She seems as pleased as all other West Sail owners with her purchase. I really do love these boats, and the people they attract.

I’ll be off to the Bahamas in the next week or so. West end is only a day’s sail from here. I’m running around trying to pick up last minute things. It will be my last time in the States for quite some time, and I’m kind of freak’n a bit. After Florida, everything will be unfamiliar and foreign, literally.

I’ll have another video update soon.

Take care.
