I guess waiting out hurricane season on the Chesapeake wasn’t the brightest idea, time to Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Namaste and I just weathered Hurricane Isabel. Namaste took some damage to the bow-sprit, along with some other minor damage. I got pretty beat up as well. I’ll have an episode and images posted shortly. What a ride. I learned allot about Namaste, and how she reacts to heavy wind, and I learned a few thing about ground tackle as well. I’m glad I went through it, and I’ll do anything I can to not experience it again. How does the saying go? “That which does not kill you, makes you stronger”, yeah, okay, whatever. I hurt from head to toe. I cracked my head open during the storm, sprained both of my wrists, and I’m bruised from head to toe. As far as I’m concerned she kicked my ass. Time to do repairs, and rebuild a bowsprit that I just built, oh well, it is what it is.

Wow- I can imagine what a nightmare that was!
How long did the worst of it last?
What important things did you learn about using your ground tackle?
