Friends,
Okay, so I’ve been getting emails from you guys wondering why there hasn’t been an update for a few weeks. I had to order a new laptop and it took some time for me to get it, I’ve had no way of editing video. Luckily I’m getting it this weekend, and I’ll have a new update shortly.
I’ve finally made a decision as to my cruising plans. I’m going to spend the summer exploring the Chesapeake; these waters are some of the friendliest waters I’ve ever sailed. The bottom is always a good mud for anchoring. The local crabs, oysters, clams, and rockfish are delicious. The locals are friendly, and Maryland is a beautiful state to explore. I’ve sailed up the Patuxent River, and I’m hanging out with some family. I’ll start heading south in October for the tale end of hurricane season, and spend the winter in the Bahamas and South America. I should go through the Panama Canal in March, and on to the Pacific.
I took a few weeks off to relax after working on the boat and this project for a solid year, I finally feel recharged. When you are cruising your body is constantly moving with the boat, and it can be physically and mentally exhausting. I’m constantly worried about the boat, other boats, anchorages, weather, and everything else under the stars.
I still have a few hundred of my subscribers (You guys) that I haven’t heard from. Please send me an email and let me know who you are, what you think of the website, and what I can do to make it better.
I’m driving back up to Mystic (Where I bought Namaste) this weekend for a wedding. I’ll get to see some friends. Ken (The guy I bought the boat from), His son AJ is getting married to Christine. They’re a beautiful couple, I’ll post some pictures of the wedding next week. I’ll also get to visit everyone from Brewers Yacht Yard, have a few beers, and catch up with everyone.
Life is really good, if you get a chance, get out on the water this weekend and enjoy the ocean.
Thanks for all you input and support.
