Happy New year from “Namaste”

Just wanted to let you all know hurricane season has passed and I’m about half way through the ICW (Intracoastal Waterway) in South Carolina. It’s nice to be in warmer weather. I’ve posted episode #8 (on the road again), Wow, is the ICW a beautiful stretch of water.

I’ll be jumping off to the Bahamas & Caribbean soon before doing the Panama Canal in March. If you’re interested I suggest you pick up Jimmy Cornell’s “World Cruising Routes. I use this as a base for my navigation, and recommend it highly if your interested in cruising, it will also be helpful for some of you who track “Namaste’s” voyage closely. He also puts out a “World cruising guide” which I also use, and find very helpful.

I’m getting email on-board via SatCom systems & the Iridium network, so don’t be shy on sending emails through the website. You can also send instant messages which are always nice to get. It keeps me sane hearing from people, and makes solo cruising more bearable.

Namaste is holding up well, I had some motor problems which I was able to fix in Beaufort North Carolina.

I’ve got almost everything I need for the trip. I still need to pick up another camera, an EPIRB & life raft, and get a new for-stay at some point.

I’ve got a lot of emails regarding my navigation system, and how the satellite email works. I’m going to put out an episode specifically on cruising & technology shortly which should answer all of those questions.

Have a great new year, and make your new year’s resolution a good one.

Dream Big.
