Well Carla’s Brother and his wife left yesterday. It’s always a sign of a good visit when the time flies quickly. He is going back to Miami to look at boats, something small (27-30) for the weekends and vacation time. If anyone knows of a uber-cheap slip/mooring in the Miamiish area please let me know. He already has his eye on a few. A week on Splendid can be a little contagious with all the freedom and good vibes in the air! He also got into shooting fish.
The weather is a bit strange and we are seeing some wind from the 
south. I’m excited as it will weaken the waves on the outer reef and I can do some hunting in places I usually wouldn’t go. I’m psyched to use my new AB biller 48′ spear gun and TUSA Platima snorkel. I also recently bought a very powerful dive light to look into caves. I’m hoping to find extra goodies lurking in dark corners! I’ll have an HD GoPro attached to my head when I’m hunting to get cool video 
Well its time to start shooting, shooting, shooting video! I just declared to Carla today is the 1st official day of production and we don’t go anywhere without a camera.
Carla just informed me we may be doing a quick trip to Miami in a few months for her dad’s birthday. I’ll need a new stamp in my passport so its not such a bad thing. I could get some video that I want for the film and hunt around the used boat stuff shops for a bargain or two.
Well, that’s it for today. I have a lot of work to do and my coffee cup is empty. My blogs are a morning coffee thing.

Kicking around the idea of doing a charter with you. Im trying to get some info together. I would be flying out of florida. What airport would i fly into in panama? Then would I catch another flight to the San Blas ? Not really sure. Trying to figure out fares. Any info you can share will be great.

You would fly to Tocumen international airport In Panama city. You would most likely spend the night In hotel unless you arrived early. Then you would catch a 4×4 ride through the jungle (about an hour) and take a launcha to splendid. The jeep ride is about $25 bucks and the launcha $20-$35 ish. Flights to Panamanare cheap from Florida, check spirit airlines?
If anyone knows about the weAther I’n Pacific Mexico I’d love to have a chat. I know they have hurricanes but I’m looking for info. I’m thinking of heading through the canal around the new year??? Just a thought.

june 1st starts hurricane season…..time your crossing of the papa guio and tuanapek. first spend some time in boca chica and the westerrn islands(great fishing). got my first fish on my new boat….25 ono(wahoo)…..hope it gets better…………….G

Thanks for the kind words. Carla has brought a lot to my life for sure, funny she’s only been around 5 months. We really are best friends and it’s nice sharing this life style :) She’s also becomming my camera woman.
We had an amazing day on the reef yesterday. We went to the outer reef to play with the sharks, spear fish, and get video. I shot two snappers with the long gun (AB Biller 48) .
I must say we were bummed when we viewed the underwater footage we shot with the GoPro. I did a little research and everyone has the same problem shooting underwater with the GoPro. I did however find a fix for it. If you video buffs are interested you can check out the fix here:

I saw the gopro housing but there is no way to attach filters. I am also using it for some time lapse and want to be able to screw on a polarizer, and a color correcting filters for underwater. The snake river system looks like a better fix to me???

sorry for the late reply, I was away for a week in South Dakota. My girlfriend decided to enter a 50 mile race up and down the Black Hills – she trains on the Canadian prairies and decided to just go ahead and win the thing. :-)
The Snake River system does appear to be better if you’re looking at using filters.
I’m not much of a camera guy but it’s one of the things I want to do when I am “out there”. Other things of the learn to do list are: surfing; drawing (again – haven’t done it since I was in the fourth grade and then the real world told me that drawing wasn’t going to get me anywhere and I better concentrate on school); guitar; etc.
