Happy Easter everyone.
We are having Easter on the beach with friends today. Everyone is bringing a dish and we are hiding eggs for a hunt. All the kids are coming.
We are looking at departing later on in the week after the east wind dies and making way for rum key.
Ive been dreaming of a nesting sailing and rowing dinghy. I like the idea of rowing and sailing much better than enduring the expense and maintenance of an outboard. I really like the CLC Passagemaker take apart (nesting) http://www.clcboats.com/shop/wooden-sailboat-kits/
I’m also interested in the nestaway trio http://www.nestawayboats.com/page4.htm
I’m thinking to build a nesting dinghy that I can easily sail and row in Panama. I’d really like to teach Guin to sail it as soon as possible. It would be cool if she were sailing before her 6th birthday.
Have a wonderful Easter day.
Sail far and live slowly.

Sure sounds like a great Easter on the beach!!! I was wondering if you could do a post or video on the legal aspects of harvesting from the ocean. Liscence, permit, equip. allowed and so forth. Thanks in advance.
Happy Easter, Dean

Hey Alex, Samantha and Guin. It’s really great reading your log, as I do most every day. Makes me a bit sad since I guess I’m back on the treadmill and not out sailing as I had hoped. However, I’m really happy to see that things are working out so well for you, and I can at least go back to living vicariously through you. Good luck, and fair seas. Happy Easter.-Bruce
Happy Easter everyone!
Alex, that sail dinghy idea is very cool. What are your thoughts on including sea kayaks? I do not own one but talk to some people with them. I dream of slipping to the bakery in the morning on my imaginery kayak. LOL!

Both their Cats Paw and Spindrift designs come in nesting versions. The Spindrift is as good as it gets for performance from a working dinghy.
